This area is known to locals as a vibrant center where culture, arts, and community converge; it is also a place with heavy pedestrian foot traffic, especially during weekend evening hours. Concerns about pedestrian safety and the engagement of a high-speed pursuit in a heavily populated area by Florida Highway Patrol (Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, 2025) continue to emerge from concerned citizens.
