Voting should be safe and accessible for all, but Florida lawmakers are trying to eliminate millions of voters from the vote-by-mail rolls. Lawmakers right now are proposing measures to reduce access to both vote-by-mail and the ballot dropboxes. Florida saw a record number of Floridians vote safely and securely in 2020 by mail. There are thousands of Floridians that rely on a mail ballot. We need to tell our lawmakers to make voting ea There are several filed bills, including Senate Bill 90, sponsored by Senator Bill Baxley from the Sumter, Lake and Marion county areas. This bill reduces the length of your vote-by-mail enrollment from 2 federal election cycles to 1 federal election cycle. That means, every even year, you will need to re-enroll AGAIN in vote-by-mail 2022, 2024, 2026, etc. This change will also put an unnecessary strain on each county budget. Each county must notify voters by mail that they have been removed from the enrollment list.
