<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

Public service workers like correctional officers, health care professionals and retirees, spend our lives building our state and keeping our communities safe, and strong It’s work that often goes unnoticed and unheralded, but it’s important work that makes a difference. We’ve invested in our state and invested our hard-earned dollars in our pensions. Now, because of the state’s shortsighted planning, ERS will run out of funds in forty years, some in the legislature are talking about the ill-advised restructuring of the plan that would threaten our retirements. ERS isn’t broken — the state just needs to live up to its commitments.
