Connecticut Needs A Recovery for All!

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

JOIN OUR MOVEMENT & WRITE TO YOUR LEGISLATOR We need your help! Connecticut leads the nation in income inequality, with gaps between the wealthiest and poorest residents. These gaps create tremendous disparities in public education, healthcare, job training, and higher education, homeownership, and other quality of life issues. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated and magnified these inequities. Connecticut’s tax code disproportionately burdens low– and middle-income families. They pay almost three times the percentage of their income in taxes than those who earn more than $600,00 per year. It’s not fair. But it can be changed. The Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committee is considering two bills, HB 6187 and SB 821, that would add fairness to the tax code. They would also generate the resources needed to mitigate disparities, generate economic growth, and create equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of race, gender, income, or zip code. You can help by sending an email to your legislator, asking them to support HB 6187 and SB 821. Please send it now! In Solidarity, Recovery For All Recovery For All is a coalition of faith, labor and community organizations committed to reducing income and racial inequality.
