Remove Barriers to Consumer Choice in Vehicle Sales!

	<thumbnail_url>https://can2-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/letters/photos/000/440/017/normal/LD.png</thumbnail_url>

Pennsylvania law is blocking consumers from buying the vehicle of their choice from the manufacturer of their choice. Urge your legislator to co-sponsor and pass HB 2013 today. Under Pennsylvania law, consumers and businesses can't buy a new vehicle straight from the manufacturer. Pennsylvania carved out a limited exception for a single EV manufacturer, but other companies, such as Rivian, Lucid, and Scout, remain blocked from selling or servicing their vehicles directly to Pennsylvanians. Buyers who want these vehicles are forced to cross state lines repeatedly: once to purchase, and again for any servicing. House Bill 2013 would fix this. It would extend direct-sales rights to qualifying electric vehicle manufacturers that have never operated through a franchise system, ensuring they can open showrooms, offer test drives, and provide dedicated service and repair support, all without additional markups or price negotiation. Vehicles are among the only consumer products subject to this kind of outdated middleman requirement. Pennsylvania should not force consumers to go through a third party to buy a product they have every right to purchase directly. Passing HB 2013 would expand consumer choice, increase competition, and bring Pennsylvania in line with states that have already modernized their vehicle sales laws. Send a letter to urge your representative to co-sponsor and pass HB 2013 and give Pennsylvanians the freedom to buy the vehicle they want, from the manufacturer they choose, without leaving the state.
