Bring Back the Rusty’s Workers! Pass a strong Right of Recall Ordinance!

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

The iconic Pier restaurant Rusty’s closed this January leading workers --some who have worked there for as long as a decade-- to lose their livelihoods. The workers want the opportunity to go back to work if and when someone comes to rent the space. A RIGHT TO RECALL Ordinance could establish that when a restaurant on public land, like the pier, closes, any new employer who takes over the same workplace would need to offer available jobs to qualified laid off workers. Will you urge the Santa Monica City Council to pass a strong Right to Recall Ordinance so that Rusty's workers are offered the opportunity to return to work if and when the restaurant re-opens?
