Press Congress to Safeguard Umm Al Kheir Village

On October 28th, the village of Um Al Kheir in the South Hebron Hills was issued 14 demolition orders— for homes, agricultural structures, restroom facilities, and the community center. This comes just a few weeks after an Israeli Court ruled that Israeli settlers could not move into the illegal outpost that they set up in the center of Um Al Kheir, but the settlers moved in anyways, defying the court order. The lawyers representing the village are preparing court filings to object to the demolition orders, but the demolitions could take place as early as November 11th--there isn't much time. The village is asking for Congressional intervention to bring attention to the risk of forcible displacement,
