Speak out to demand massive safety improvements on Rainier Ave S

	<thumbnail_url>https://can2-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/letters/photos/000/415/627/normal/RainierAveS.png</thumbnail_url>

Rainier Ave S has been one of the 5 most dangerous streets in Seattle for years. In the last 10 years, there have been 1,522 crashes that resulted in a community member being injured or killed – one every 2 ½ days. This includes a June 1 crash that injured a 6-year-old child walking in the crosswalk with their mother. Now, with thousands of new apartments, a new school, and a new light rail station opening, it is long past time to take serious, comprehensive action to address safety on this busy street. Write a letter now to ask Seattle’s leaders to commit immediately to changes that will slow dangerous speeding, make the corridor safe for people walking, rolling, biking, and accessing transit, and act with real urgency to prevent the next tragedy.
