Tell the Senate: Reject the DHS and ICE Funding Bill and Abolish ICE

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

The U.S. Senate is preparing to vote this week on a massive government funding package that includes tens of billions of dollars for DHS and ICE. This vote comes just days after the House passed the bill, treating ICE funding as routine even as Donald Trump escalates raids, harassment, and fear in immigrant communities across the country. This is not normal. During Trump’s tenure, ICE has been emboldened and empowered, operating as a political weapon against immigrants, workers, and anyone who challenges his agenda. Communities are reporting increased enforcement, workplace raids, and intimidation, all fueled by unchecked federal funding. Last year, Congress passed the so-called “Big Ugly Bill,” pouring tens of billions of dollars into ICE detention, deportation, and enforcement. That decision supercharged an agency with a long record of abuse, family separation, and civil rights violations. Instead of correcting that mistake, this new funding package builds on it. The Senate now faces a clear choice. Lawmakers can continue bankrolling Trump’s deportation and detention agenda, or they can break with business-as-usual and refuse to fund ICE’s expanding machinery of fear. We are demanding that the Senate: Vote NO on DHS and ICE funding in the current spending package Rescind the tens of billions of dollars in ICE funding passed in last year’s Big Ugly bill Abolish ICE and commit to investing in humane immigration reform instead Tell the Senate to stop funding ICE and start listening to our communities who have been warning about this agency for years.
