On January 26 he revealed that he discussed a plan with the King of Jordan to forcibly displace 1.5 million Palestinians from Gaza.  This comes after a 15-month genocide that has killed over 60,000 people, forcibly displaced close to 2.3 million people, and destroyed more than 60% the total infrastructure . Trump’s comments and plan blatantly call for ethnic cleansing and are in line with the most extreme sentiments of Israeli leaders who want Gaza cleansed of Palestinians. This is inhumane and a terrible solution – not to mention it is illegal, immoral and catastrophic for the region. Trump’s comments are no coincidence nor are they subtle, it’s a blatant call for ethnic cleansing and echoes the most extreme sentiments of Israeli leaders who want Gaza cleansed of Palestinians. This proposal came a week after a ceasefire agreement took effect in Gaza on Jan. 10, suspending Israel’s genocidal war in which the extent of damage is unfathomable. Millions of people displaced, hundreds of thousands estimated to be killed, and tens of thousands missing since October 7, 2024. We must take a stand against these proposed war crimes, we must prevent any further suffering. Join us in condemning this call for ethnic cleansing.
