In the gravest attack on this law in its 50-year history, the Trump Administration targeted the Endangered Species Act with anti-preservation rollbacks and set species recovery back by decades. Following a legal agreement, the Biden Administration has proposed revisions that would reverse a number of these setbacks but chose to leave many others in place--continuing the Trump legacy of extinction.
