State telecommuting policy

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

PEF Members, we are urging the State to consider telecommuting when jobs and conditions warrant it. The evidence is clear -- for State employees who can telework, they are more productive, with a better work-life balance, and more likely to stay working for the government. This legislation would not mandate telecommuting, but it would make it easier for unions like PEF to negotiate telecommuting as part of our collective bargaining agreement with New York State.
