The governor recommended an INSULTING 1% Cost-of-Living adjustment for State Employees! As always, we're fighting for a legislative raise that matches the rising cost of living. We need to send a strong message to our Legislators that a 1% “raise” is actually a pay cut! The budget bill (HB 2) has gone to the full Senate with this paltry 1% increase. We are demanding that the Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) be budgeted at 3% to match the current inflation rate. As public sector workers, we proudly keep state government operating day in and day out. Our contributions deserve to be recognized with a respectful pay increase.
