Tell WA state legislators to support HB 1888

	<thumbnail_url>https://can2-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/letters/photos/000/099/320/normal/Public-Employee-Privacy-banner.jpg</thumbnail_url>

Under Washington's Public Records Act, public employees' home addresses and certain other personal information are supposed to be kept private. But in 2019, the courts ruled that their birth dates are public information because the Legislature hasn't specifically exempted them. This exposes public employees and their families to identity theft, stalkers, and others who may want to target them at home. HB 1888 updates the Public Records Act to add birth dates to the personal data kept private. Please send a message to Washington state legislators and urge them to approve HB 1888.
