Support Rep. Tlaib's resolution on the genocide in Gaza

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

Rep. Rashida Tlaib introduced a resolution last week to officially recognize that Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza and call for U.S. action to end the atrocities. As Rep. Tlaib said when introducing this resolution, “The Israeli government’s genocide in Gaza has not ended, and it will not end until we act. Since the so-called ‘ceasefire’ was announced, Israeli forces haven’t stopped killing Palestinians.”1 The resolution would call on the U.S. government to end arms transfers to Israel and ensure those responsible for the genocide are held accountable. These calls to action are critical to secure peace and justice for Palestinians. Sign the petition: Pass Rep. Tlaib’s resolution on the genocide in Gaza and end U.S. support for Israel’s atrocities. Since the ceasefire agreement was reached, the Israeli military has killed over 240 Palestinians and injured over 600.2 At one point, Netanyahu ordered “immediate, powerful strikes in the Gaza Strip” that killed over 100 people, including 46 children, and wounded 250 others.3 After two years of killing, food blockades and forced displacement, UN agencies, scholars, and organizations like Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and Doctors Without Borders have recognized the genocide in Gaza.4 Rep. Tlaib noted the urgency of taking action to hold Israel accountable: “Impunity only enables more atrocity.”5 Congress must act now to stop Israel from committing further violence. Sign the petition: Support Rep. Tlaib’s resolution and an end to the genocide in Gaza. Sources: Rep.
