Our Mission We want the Anaheim City Council, Planning Commissioners, and Staff to approve The Hills Preserve Project. This will permanently open and expand Deer Canyon Park, so all residents of Anaheim can enjoy its trails and wildlife. We support the addition of 45 acres of undisturbed open space to Deer Canyon Park Preserve, permanently enhancing and expanding the natural beauty, wildlife habitat and accessible trails. This space would be donated by the owners of The Hills Preserve, at no cost to the City of Anaheim. We also support construction of a new street and new equestrian trail providing easy public access to Deer Canyon Park, ensuring every Anaheim resident has easy access, also funded by the owners of The Hills Preserve. Currently, there is no easy public access to Deer Canyon Park Preserve. By adding 45 acres to the preserve and turning it into a real park as part of The Hills Preserve development, it will now be open to all City of Anaheim resents, not just those who can walk into the park from the surrounding neighborhood.
