They want to hand ICE and CBP as much as $140 billion more for the remainder of Donald Trump’s second term in office. All this is on top of the $75 billion ICE received in the last reconciliation bill―the Big Brutal Bill. ICE doesn’t need more money, it needs accountability. Since the beginning of Trump’s second term, ICE has been on a campaign of lawlessness: separating families, detaining children and babies, making arrests on or near school grounds, illegally entering homes, and even killing U.S. citizens in our streets. Roughly 50 people have died in ICE custody since January 2025―the most in recorded history. Giving them more money is a reward for this illegal and inhumane behavior.
