Tell ACLU-D.C. management: fair pay for all union workers!

ACLU-D.C. union staff are on the front lines defending civil rights, civil liberties, and the foundations of our democracy. Especially at a time when those rights are under increasing threat across the United States, workers deserve fair pay. We have been bargaining our first contract for almost 3 years, and it has been an unnecessarily exhausting fight. Since 2023: We filed three unfair labor practice complaints against management. The National Labor Relations Board substantiated that Executive Director Monica Hopkins engaged in anti-union activity. ACLU-D.C. executives retaliated against union leaders for union organizing, on allegations that management later agreed were unsubstantiated. Management laid two union members off in the midst of negotiations. During all attempts at union-busting, we have shown up to the table to settle a fair contract and bargain in good faith. We are so close to a deal, but Executive Director Monica Hopkins is refusing to pay all union workers fair annual wage increases, even though the organization has millions of dollars in reserves. It’s time to settle a fair contract with annual increases that keep up with the cost of living. Tell ACLU-D.C. management: fair pay for all union workers!
