ICE is accessing Flock footage to hunt people down.2 At least 24 police officers have used Flock to stalk romantic interests.3 Law enforcement have used Flock and other automatic license plate reader (ALPR) cameras to discriminate, track protesters, and follow at least one woman seeking reproductive health care.4 Lawmakers are introducing bipartisan legislation to withhold funding from police departments and local governments who use ALPR cameras like Flock to mass surveil, stalk, violate rights, and prey on communities. Tell Congress: Defund Flock. Urge lawmakers to withhold funding from cities that spy on people with Flock cameras! ALPRs snap millions of pictures of license plates that law enforcement can use to follow people around to their homes, health care appointments, jobs, houses of worship, and everywhere in between. That means ICE and other Trump administration agencies can use Flock to track your every movement, all across the country. “The tracking of an individual vehicle, as it moves throughout an area, can reveal very deeply personal and private information, not only about the vehicle but the person operating it. That is Flock at its most dangerous," said the ACLU.5 There's a bipartisan push in Congress to effectively ban Flock cameras, but we need more lawmakers to back this critical policy right away.
