Tennessee Gas Pipeline company (TGP) is proposing to expand its fracked gas pipeline through North Jersey by building a compressor station in West Milford and tripling the size of its existing compressor in Wantage. Compressors are dangerous industrial sites that pressurize and release toxic, flammable, and climate-destroying fracked gas. Only one critical permit remains pending before the NJDEP for this project which TGP wants to start constructing as early as this fall! TGP is currently soliciting comments on its draft "Title V Air Permit" for the Wantage site and we need all hands on deck to submit comments and then turn out en masse at the public hearing on this project scheduled for Thursday, July 7th at 5:30 PM in Sparta.
