Tell Harvard to stop union busting!

Just one day after HGSU’s contract expired, Harvard announced that they had removed almost a 1000 research assistants from the unit. During a period of funding cuts, visa revocations, and threats of deportation for graduate student workers, this carveout strips these student workers of all union protections: healthcare reimbursements, childcare funds, international student worker assistance, emergency grants, collective bargaining rights to advocate for higher pay, legal defense, and protections against harassment, overwork, and arbitrary dismissal. Harvard is weaponizing the current political moment against student workers. Call on the University to immediately reverse this carveout, to respect the outcome of past arbitrations, and to restore union protections for all eligible student workers.
