The Trump administration has ended federal Medicaid and CHIP funding for gender affirming care for minors. The Mount Sinai Hospital System capitulated to the regime by not only ending their transgender youth services, but also devoting $2 million in funding to "detransition care." We need to tell our elected officials that we will not stand for these assaults on our community's health and safety. We demand that New York State, which has a Democratic supermajority in the state legislature, fully fund gender affirming care statewide, including puberty-delaying medications, hormone therapies, and medically necessary surgical procedures used to treat gender dysphoria in young patients.
