The Equal Rights Amendment would provide Constitutional protections to women and the LGBTQIA+ community while grounding our democracy in fundamental human equality under the law. The 28th Amendment simply reads: Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.
