In addition to troubling testimony from employees, QSL’s gross indifference to safety concerns is evidenced by the disappearance of dock worker, Darius Clement, who went missing on April 22 while working at First Street Wharf, also known as QSL, a cargo handling company located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Nearly two months following Clement’s disappearance, QSL has deliberately neglected to acknowledge the incident after repeated requests for comment from media and members of the broader community. This incident raises concerns about the extent to which QSL values the safety of its employees, especially given its hostility to IUOE Local 150—who could advocate for necessary changes to help create a fair and secure work environment. That's why we’re calling on the executives of QSL and its parent companies, CDPQ and iCON Infrastructure, to stop their union-busting tactics and their refusal to bargain for a fair resolution that honors the dignity and rights of all workers.
