Elon Musk’s destructive and dangerous behavior as the head of the “Department of Government Efficiency,” includes gutting the Environmental Protection Agency and he’s now conspiring with Trump to pervert its environmental mission: as of March 12, 2025, according to its new head, Lee Zeldin, our EPA’s mission has become to “lower the cost of buying a car, heating a home and running a business.” Musk has invested his time in the Oval Office furthering the dirty energy agendas of “Drill, Baby, Drill” Donald Trump and fossil fuel fracking millionaire Energy Secretary Chris Wright. Tesla, one of the leading electric vehicle manufacturers in the world, has boasted commitment to an environmental mission since its inception. Their vision doesn’t just include electric cars, but electric cars powered by clean energy through solar panels and powerwalls. Now, Elon Musk has betrayed Tesla’s core values, threatening their business. Customers who otherwise value Tesla’s mission are now refusing to purchase Tesla products, and are even selling the vehicles they’ve already purchased in favor of other brands. The company has now lost about $800 billion in market cap and over half its value since December. Tesla’s website says it‘s “Accelerating the World's Transition to Sustainable Energy.” But its CEO is actively eroding that mission on the world’s stage. It’s time for Tesla’s Board of Directors to stand up for their core values and fire Elon Musk.
