Tell the SEC: Don’t scrap the strong climate rule!

The Security and Exchange Commission is asleep at the wheel. This Wednesday, March 6th, it will vote on a crucial climate rule, an earlier draft of which required banks and fossil fuel companies to report their scope 1, 2, AND 3 emissions. If the SEC gets their way, according to media reports, companies will ONLY need to report Scopes 1 and 2 emissions, Scope 3 emissions will not be disclosed. Scope 3 are emissions along the supply chain of a company, from the emissions of the ships used to transport the components of a product a company produces, to the emissions caused by burning the fuels the company extracts. Take action and contact SEC Chair Gensler right now before the vote takes place!
