Tell Your Senator to Vote YES on HB 64!

Every year immigrants contribute millions in taxes to the state of New Mexico, but many continue to face challenges in accessing in-state tuition and state-funded financial aid because current eligibility requirements are too narrow. Expand Post-Secondary Tuition Eligibility (HB 64) would broaden eligibility to include adults with varied immigration status who have attended adult education programs for at least a year, or worked in the state and filed New Mexico income tax returns for at least two years. HB 64 has passed the House and Senate committees but has not yet been scheduled to be heard on the Senate Floor. With only 2 more days left in the legislative session, we need lawmakers to listen to their constituents and pass the bill in the Senate.
