Worth area. Marwan is a leader with the Muslim American Society’s Dallas chapter, and has been a dedicated service leader in his community for three decades. He helped found Boy Scout Circle 10 District’s largest troop here in North Dallas, has actively promoted multiple drug awareness campaigns to educate youth about the dangers of drug use, volunteers regularly with the Red Cross, and is a Certified Disaster Relief First Responder. Despite Marwan’s deep, decades-long ties to his local community and his ongoing immigration case, ICE arrested him after he dropped his son off at school on September 22nd. This injustice is undoubtedly part of the U.S. government’s campaign of discrimination and persecution targeting the Muslim community. And it’s a fundamental violation of Marwan’s constitutional rights to due process. We must call on local leaders to secure the immediate release of Marwan. We must fight for the release of all the members of the Muslim community — along with those in Black, brown, and Asian communities — whose names we don’t know, who’ve been denied their constitutional rights and taken away by ICE. We must stop these ICE abductions in every community, in every part of the country.
