The New Jersey State AFL-CIO and its affiliates championed the original law that was enacted in 2009. Now, with your support, we can make this policy even better for working families. The quickest way to take action is to send a message to your Assembly members asking for their support of the bill. The proposal would increase benefit levels and available time-off for workers in New Jersey who need to take care of a sick family member or loved one. Improved job protections would also ensure workers are not at risk of losing their jobs for taking leave.
