The farmers need help now and USDA should get the funding out right away. In recent years Maine’s dairy sector has been struggling against a perfect storm of adverse conditions. Dramatically shifting weather patterns, the COVID-19 Pandemic, escalating costs of production, aging farmers and labor shortages, supply chain challenges, and low pay prices are the key destabilizing threats to the farms that sit at the heart of Maine agriculture. Please take action and urge US Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to distribute emergency funding to organic dairy farmers right away. https://actionnetwork.org/letters/urge-usda-to-support-organic-dairy-farmers
