Our hearts break for the Spartan community and the families whose lives have been shattered by yet another mass shooting in Michigan, the second in 18 months at a place where our children are supposed to learn in safety. No parent should see their child off to school wondering whether gun violence would finally shatter their lives. No family should accept the do-nothing, gun-lobby-friendly status quo that sacrifices our children’s safety, peace of mind, and emotional well-being for the profits of the firearms industry.
