The local school vouchers would give parents between $291 and $41,000 per student to use on private school tuition, homeschooling expenses, and other education-related costs. The House is scheduled to vote on the bill at the opening of the 2022 session on January 5, despite a considerable number of open questions about the program and its effects. This bill is yet another attempt by Republicans in Concord to deprive our public schools of the resources they need to ensure that ALL students in New Hamsphire - regardless of their families income and circumstances - will receive the kind of quality education that is the foundation of our democracy.
