Scientists have made a clear link between climate change and more frequent and severe weather events” Hurricane Fiona was just the most recent example of a severe weather event wreaking havoc upon Canadians. According to the latest science, immediate and effective reductions of at least 50% of our current greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in this decade will give us a 50/50 chance of keeping the global average temperature rise below 1.5oC.
