Many of these plant workers have dedicated their entire lives to the company, and the surrounding businesses and communities rely on these plants. Energizer’s reckless decision comes despite the State of Wisconsin giving the company a five-year, $600,000 tax credit to create and maintain these jobs in-state. Energizer has also received more than $10 million in additional public subsidies since 1999.
