In the last three years, the Alcantar siblings have weathered the tragic losses of both their parents: their mother passed away from cancer, and in 2023, Federico’s younger brother witnessed the brutal murder of their father. The siblings then reunited in the United States where Federico has been the sole provider and caretaker for his siblings. He also began the process of becoming their legal guardian. However, in late October ICE ruthlessly detained Federico at gunpoint during a traffic stop in which they were searching for a different person. He has been detained in Missouri since then. Federico is a resilient and responsible young man that desperately needs to be reunited with his siblings. The Alcantar siblings have already endured the trauma of losing their parents; they deserve to celebrate the holidays TOGETHER as a family this Christmas.
