Claremont must join the chorus of cities including Long Beach, San Francisco, Oakland, Hayward, Montebello, Richmond, and just recently, the city of Pomona in pressuring our congressional representatives to adopt H.Res.786. Regardless of religion, race, nationality, or region, Claremont City Council has a responsibility to advocate for justice and safety for all its community members and their loved ones to the federal government. Claremont City Council has a responsibility to condemn all forms of anti-Muslim, anti-Arab, Islamophobic and anti-Semitic bigotry and racism.
