That’s why last fall they united for a voice on the job and are seeking a fair contract to empower them to strengthen and protect patient care. But the non-profit health network that owns and operates both acute care facilities is disrespecting its own caregivers. Management with the Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) has in nine months failed to reach agreement with the techs and therapists, whose top priority is safety for patients and staff. At the same time, network leaders have allowed millions in bonuses and incentives to be handed out to top executives who don’t provide direct bedside care. Tell WCHN leadership to put patients before profits by directing management to reach a final settlement that is fair and respects the techs and therapists who are there for us.
