This has never been clearer than after these local elections. We now have more than five parties attracting significant support under a system designed for just two. People want real choice - but the system can’t handle it. It’s delivering complete and utter chaos, and results that look like numbers from a slot machine. In Wigan, Reform won 96% of the seats that were up for election on a 46% vote share. In Westminster, the Tories won 59% of the seats with 35% of the vote. In Ealing, Labour won 66% of the seats with less than a third of the votes. In Milton Keynes, the Liberal Democrats are now the biggest party despite coming fourth in vote share.
