The only person in all of San Joaquin County who can hold officers inside of the jail accountable is the Sheriff himself, who has shielded the officers from accountability for their actions. Since Jacob recovered from the nearly fatal injuries, he’s become a committed activist and has learned that he’s not the only person who’s been assaulted by officers in San Joaquin County.
