Schaefer wasted time and money with his sham Senate committee on the “Sanctity of Life.” Schaefer and his cronies refuse to answer precisely how much time and money they squandered on their witch hunt, but that’s just the beginning. A US District Judge ruled that political pressure from Schaefer and the “Sanctity of Life” committee violated the rights of Planned Parenthood to operate in Missouri. Now Missouri owes $156,630.68 in legal fees as a result of Kurt Schaefer’s failed scheme to deny Planned Parenthood the right to operate in Missouri. Kurt Schaefer owes Missouri $156,630.68, plus whatever he wasted through the Senate Interim Committee on the “Sanctity of Life,” and we’re asking that he pay it back before he cleans out his desk. Schaefer has said that, no matter the price tag, he makes “no apology ” for his role. Missourians could care less about an apology, we just want our money back.
