Short staffing greatly limits accessibility and impacts our ability to provide the excellent service, safe and high-quality patient care KP members deserve. It leads to burnout out, high staff turnover, increased absenteeism, and decreased productivity and staff morale. As much as this is a labor/management issue, more importantly, this is a patient care issue. This unprecedented staffing crisis demands a level of urgency we have not yet seen from Kaiser Permanente leaders.
