Online Petition of BPO Workers Against Massive Corruption

We, the undersigned BPO workers of the Philippines, raise our voices against the rampant corruption that continues to rob the people of their hard-earned contributions and deny us the quality of life and public services we deserve. Every day, 1.8 million BPO workers like us work night shifts, sacrifice our health, and fuel one of the country’s largest industries. We contribute significantly to the national economy through our taxes: Estimated Value-Added Tax (VAT) paid by BPO workers in 2024: ₱10.28 billion Estimated income tax from 40% of BPO workers earning ₱25,000–₱35,000/month: ₱11.88 billion Together, that’s over ₱22 billion in direct contributions from BPO workers alone. Yet, while we do our part, billions of pesos are being siphoned away through corruption: ₱9 billion ghost project in Bulacan ₱100 billion of public funds channeled to contractors and politicians 40% of project costs lost to bribes and kickbacks This is nothing less than theft of the people’s money—including ours. Corruption drains resources that should go to improving healthcare, education, mass transport, housing, and labor protection. Instead, it enriches a few while workers continue to struggle with high costs of living, unsafe workplaces, and poor public services. As BPO workers, we stand united to say: Enough! We demand: 1. Full transparency and accountability in all government projects. 2. Independent investigations and prosecutions of corrupt officials, contractors, and politicians. 3. Allocation of workers’ tax contributions to social services and public programs that directly benefit the people. 4. Genuine protection for whistleblowers and citizen watchdogs who expose corruption. Our taxes are not for kickbacks. Our labor is not for ghost projects. Our sacrifices are not for corruption. We call on fellow workers and citizens to join us in this fight. Together, we can build a Philippines where the sweat of workers uplifts lives—not lines the pockets of the corrupt. Sign this petition and stand with BPO workers against massive corruption.
