Protect Working Conditions at UCSF Radiology!

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

On April 6, UCSF abruptly notified the Radiology Scheduling team that they, despite six years of unimpeachable remote work, were now required to return to the office. UCSF has issued this new requirement despite many promises that scheduling positions would remain remote and in the full knowledge that many members of the team are located outside the Bay Area and are physically unable to report in person. UCSF’s surprise decision presents an enormous disruption to workers’ lives, all for a “business need” that UCSF has been unable to explain to workers or our Union. Radiology Scheduling workers have been remote for more than six years. We are not public-facing employees—our in-office presence is not required to complete our work, and we have never failed to complete our work effectively from our home offices. In fact, our work has improved since workers went remote! UCSF’s decision is arbitrary, unnecessary, and a blow to every Radiology Scheduling worker. We call on UCSF to uphold our collective bargaining agreement and urgently meet with our Union to bargain the impacts of these changes. We want to protect our working conditions and keep serving the patients who count on us! Sign our petition to ask UCSF to come to the table to bargain this major change to our working conditions—like our contract requires!
