Ortiz sold QAnon merchandise on his own apparel website. The FBI has identified QAnon as a domestic terrorist threat which has been linked to violence such as  kidnapping and murder. Ortiz stated the COVID-19 pandemic is man made and designed as a population control tool and refers to it as a "plandemic." Ortiz refuses to wear a face mask when it is required, including City Council meetings, which puts City staff at risk. Ortiz denies the existence of racism. Ortiz is quite comfortable spreading disinformation. Ortiz has brought embarrassment upon the city that he was elected to serve. Ortiz literally undermines democracy by promoting the idea that citizens should NOT accept the result of our recent U.S. presidential election.
