While Donald Trump wages a fascist crusade across the country and our state — kidnapping our immigrant neighbors, helping corporate landlords drive up our rents, funding bombs that murder children in Gaza — what does Jeffries offer? Strongly worded letters and photo ops. Weak. We need politicians who put our neighbors first. Hakeem Jeffries takes money from AIPAC, BlackRock, and Lockheed Martin — companies that profit from our displacement and despair. We deserve a representative who stands with working people, not billionaires. Corporate Democrats will tell us we need to settle for the same tired status quo. That we need to wait. But time is a luxury our city, planet, and democracy can’t afford. As a council member, Chi Ossé already banned exploitative broker fees, pushed for public investment in our neighborhoods, and greenlit thousands of units of affordable housing. He was one of Zohran Mamdani’s first endorsers, prioritizing vision over his establishment relationships. Chi knows how to work within and fight against the system for working class New Yorkers. We’re calling on Chi Ossé to challenge Hakeem Jeffries’ race for NY-8. We need bold leadership that will take on the many crises we face — someone who knows everyone deserves housing, healthcare, and a livable, beautiful planet. We need Chi Ossé in Congress.
