This means he is earning more money in one month than I (Laura Cohen) make in a year, even while working 4-5 jobs at a time. If CCSF is so desperate for money that it is willing to decimate course offerings by firing teaching staff, then the Chancellor can manage to take a temporary pay cut to stop the destruction. Chancellor Martin doesn't deserve to have his salary raised just to take away jobs from our teachers, who are nearly all part-timers at risk of getting laid off alongside classified staff, and are largely Black, Indigenous, people of color struggling to make ends meet. https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/save-affordable-education
