As teachers, artists and writers they are seeking to improve their working conditions through gaining job security and work stability, institutional support, sustainable income, access to benefits, a voice in decision-making and professional respect. These goals will also help adjuncts at MICA better serve students and the mission of the institution. Yet, the MICA administration has been disrupting the democratic process of forming a union and attempting to intimidate the adjuncts from exercising their right to free association and organization.
