The estate has been expertly managed by the tenant farmers on the estate, who have a key role in implementing the Eastbourne Downland Management Strategy created by Eastbourne Borough Council decades ago. This strategy has enabled landscape restoration and the protection and enhancement of the estate's wildlife to progress successfully over the last few decades.
