When the employer found out that these workers wanted to improve their working conditions, they were locked out on February 19, 2021; informed that their jobs were “outsourced” and they were all fired! This illegal lockout has been challenged by an Unfair Labor Practice charge with the National Labor Relations Board. How can the owner claim to be a responsible community partner, while displacing these hardworking employees during the worst health crisis in modern times?
