Our Aim Higher Minnesota Act looks beyond the easy fixes and: Establishes class size limits Fully funds the state portion of special education costs Allows schools to hire enough counselors, nurses, social workers and other student support services to meet students' needs Funds the educator loan forgiveness program so educators can afford to stay in the profession Creates trauma-informed and restorative practices training programs for teachers to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline Funds professional development for all education support professionals Read more here As educators, we know how to improve our public education system. But it's going to take more than the Band-Aid approach Minnesota has been using for far too long. We need real and significant investments in our students, public schools and the profession.
